Meta Awarded Patent Like EyeSight Feature On Apple Vision Pro For Meta Quest

Apple EyeSight on the Vision Pro headset is said to be the greatest innovation for virtual reality, augmented reality, mixed reality and augmented reality headset products. According to Apple this feature scans the user's eyes and generates virtual eyes to be displayed on the Vision Pro's external screen to solve the problem of social isolation. Most recently, Meta is said to want to add more or less the same features to Meta Quest.

Patently Apple reports that Meta has been awarded a patent for a feature similar to EyeSight. The difference is that the Meta iteration doesn't just scan eyes but also scans facial movements to move the avatar in the world of metamesta. Meta is said to want a realistic facial expression so that when two avatars interact it will not feel strange or awkward.

Meta also lists the use of ECG, EEG and PPG sensors to monitor and assess the cardiovascular rate of Meta headset users. Since recently Meta has also tested and added many features and functions to Meta Quest similar to Vision Pro.
