More Android Apps Will Support Ultra HDR Image Display

Ultra HDR is a new feature on Android 14 where selected devices can display images with higher dynamic values. The display of each image is also more vivid, for example the effect of sunlight on the image of a clever scene will be brighter on the sunny side. This feature will soon be supported on more apps.

Each device manufacturer uses a different name such as Samsung with Super HDR, Oppo/OnePlus/realme with ProXDR, Nothing with Ultra XDR or Pixel with Ultra HDR. Google is updating their Camera2 API with Jetpack CameraX for Ultra HDR. Application developers can later use this API to integrate into their own code such as Instagram. Instagram is currently limited to Samsung devices only.

Ultra HDR is a feature where SDR and HDR images are saved in one file. It is also saved in JPEG format allowing the same image to be viewed on any screen. It's just that with HDR screens, image details are clearer and more dynamic. Let's all look forward to the update of the social media application that will definitely display more beautiful images with Ultra HDR support.
