MyKid Applications Reopen July 29 – Here's How to Apply

The National Registration Department (JPN) today announced that it has opened applications for MyKid cards from 29 July 2024 at all National Registration Department Offices nationwide. The re-opening of the MyKid application marks the end of the temporary suspension of MyKid production due to a lack of microchip supply as we previously reported.

Here's how to apply for MyKid:

Attend the nearest JPN Office with necessary documents such as birth certificate (original), copy of mother's and father's IC, copy of marriage certificate.

Take the queue number and wait until called.

Submit the application form and documents to the counter officer.

Get the application receipt.

Come back to the JPN Office on the appointed date to pick up MyKid. Bring original documents for verification

It is hoped that with the reopening of the MyKid application, it will be easier for parents to get MyKid for their children. While for those who have applied before with a MyKid application receipt but the printout was delayed, they are also asked to confirm the printout on the JPN official portal. For any further information on the MyKid application, please visit the JPN official portal at jpn.gov.my.
