NVIDIA Is Reportedly Building An AI Chip For The Chinese Market Based On Blackwell Processors

It cannot be denied that NVIDIA is the most important company in the acceleration of artificial intelligence technology in the world today. The NVIDIA A100 series of processing chips is particularly used by various AI development companies such as OpenAI to accelerate the development and use of their ChatGPT AI.

After introducing the NVIDIA RTX B200 series of graphics cards earlier this year, it has recently been reported that NVIDIA will develop an AI processing graphics card specifically for the Chinese market which will be named NVIDIA RTX B20.

Just like the AI processing graphics card they have previously developed for the Chinese market, this graphics card is seen to come with some lowered features and performance values to ensure that it does not violate any technology restrictions imposed by companies that sell computer components to China.

This was reported by Reuters, who said that further details about this graphics card are not yet known, as the negotiation process is still ongoing. What is known for now is that NVIDIA will work with Inspur, the distributor of NVIDIA components in China to sell these graphics cards.

It's no surprise to see why NVIDIA is willing to develop graphics cards specifically for the Chinese market, as that country is responsible for a large amount of the company's revenue, even though it has seen a rather steep decline due to technology restrictions imposed on the country.

So far it is not yet known when NVIDIA will show this NVIDIA Blackwell RTX B20 chip for data centers in the country.
