NVIDIA Reportedly Will Introduce GeForce RTX 3050 Using Ada Lovelace Chip

The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 graphics card has technically been launched before, and appears to use the Ampere graphics processing chip that is generally used in all NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3000 series graphics cards.

A recent NVIDIA driver software update reveals a new graphics card model name, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 A Laptop GPU. The most notable difference that can be seen is that this graphics card appears to be laptop-specific, and will use the Ada Lovelace graphics processing chip that is only used on the GeForce RTX 4000 series of graphics cards.

A search in the source code of the latest NVIDIA driver software confirms the existence of this graphics card, but details about it are not yet known. For now, what is known about the AD106 chip is that it was used in the previous NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Ti graphics card and comes with 4352 built-in cores.

Whether NVIDIA will make an official announcement about this graphics card is not yet known, especially since at the end of the development phase of a graphics card like this, it would not be surprising to see NVIDIA use new offerings using components in their storage to reduce stock holdings.
