The Samsung Galaxy Watch7 series will be launched this week. In addition to the rugged design version and the Exynos W1000 chip launched, Samsung recently also announced a new BioActive sensor that promises more accurate health tracking and monitoring.
This sensor now has a better ability to receive light, some other color LEDs have also been added and the sensor arrangement is now more optimal. Four new LEDs are included which are blue, yellow, violet and ultra violet which will light up in competition with green, red and infrared LEDs. Samsung says this new sensor is the next step for the unexplored area of health monitoring.
The Galaxy Watch7 is confirmed to receive this new sensor. It now has 30% higher accuracy than previous generation sensors. This sensor can also support Advanced Glycation End Products (AGEs) index. This feature is something new for wearables that is still missing from competing devices. AGEs are an index of metabolic health and biological aging, which are influenced by overall lifestyle and dietary habits. It can help make better decisions for personal health based on biological age.
