Samsung has now shared that it will introduce an update for its voice-based virtual assistant, Bixby - while integrating its own artificial intelligence model, making the virtual assistant capable of doing more things under a certain context, without calling out keywords and so on.
Samsung is expected to power Bixby through their own language model, as well as include generation support through it. Samsung via CNBC informed that it will launch this Bixby update this year – it may be limited to some markets for the initial stage.
Despite offering Bixby, Samsung still allows the use of other alternative virtual assistants, such as Google Assistant or Gemini, or other providers on the market. However, Bixby is more comprehensively integrated, including allowing users to answer calls and so on through Bixby.
Anyway, let's all look forward to the introduction of this smarter Bixby soon.
