If previously Samsung used the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processing chip on the Galaxy Tab S9 flagship tablet line. This time the change is expected to happen on their upcoming tablet which is claimed to be powered by a MediaTek processing chip.
It follows the presence of Geekbench benchmark scores for the Galaxy Tab S10+ (SM-X926B) device that has been leaked and it is expected to come with a MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ chip. This is out of Samsung's habit of often using Qualcomm chips on its flagship tablet lineup. But it is still expected to be a better version since the processing chip is also no less powerful.
Other details are also shown such as the device recorded 2,141 marks in the single-core test and 5,533 marks in the multi-core test. Matching 12GB RAM memory and the latest Android 14 operating system will also be included later as a complement. There are also rumors that the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra (global version) is also powered by a MediaTek chip instead of Qualcomm as before.
For the record, the MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ has been positioned as TSMC's flagship 4nm class chip with the ability to run generative artificial intelligence (AI) on the device. It is equipped with eight CPU cores with a configuration of 1 X CPU Cortex-4 3.4GHz, 3 X Cortex-X4 and 4X Cortex-A720. This is paired with an Arm Immortalis-G720 GPU that promises a 20% better performance boost for certain scenarios.
