Taiwan Wants To Cooperate With Malaysia In Semiconductor Chip Industry Development

One of the biggest similarities that can be seen between Malaysia and Taiwan is how these two countries are important in the semiconductor chip development industry. Where Taiwan is quite famous for companies that develop and manufacture these components, companies in Malaysia are known to test and package these chips.

It has been reported that Taiwan wants to work together with Malaysia in this industry, where both countries can benefit from each other's expertise in this industry.

Taiwan's Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Tien Chung-kwang recently said that cooperation with Malaysia is seen to benefit all parties, where the semiconductor chip supply chain can be coordinated to benefit both countries.

Both Malaysia and Taiwan can learn new techniques, where Malaysia can develop expertise in the field of semiconductor chip production, while Taiwan can speed up the testing and packaging of processing chips.

Julau Member of Parliament, Datuk Larry Sng said that he has also discussed with several parties in the Taiwanese government, and said that with this collaboration, Malaysia can also introduce a new engineering course specifically for the development of semiconductor chip technology, which will further increase the number of professional workers and high income in this country.

He also said that although there are Malaysians who are seen migrating to countries such as Taiwan and Japan for more lucrative job opportunities, with the development in this sector in Malaysia, he is confident that they can return to boost the local semiconductor sector with their expertise.
