Humming the rhythm to find music is a search method that has been around for years. It first gained popularity through Google Assistant, then was integrated directly into the YouTube Music app. Most recently, TikTok wants to offer more or less the same features.
This feature is named as Sound Search, where it listens and searches for music in the background such as in a cafe environment or sung by the user himself. Even more interesting, if you don't know the title and artist of the song but still remember the rhythm keep humming on TikTok and the search results will be displayed quickly. According to sources, popular classic songs and trending and viral songs will be faster to search.
This fast search process is also not surprising because TikTok itself has become like a search engine with the integration of Google and Wikipedia. For now, Sound Search is still in testing for selected users and has not been distributed to everyone. Will you use this feature or rely on Google and Shazam platforms only?
