UN - Clearing Gaza Debris Will Take 15 Years

Gaza has been attacked by the Zionist regime almost every day since October last year. There are many satellite images spread through social media showing the total destruction of Gaza which was previously home to nearly 2.3 million Palestinians. Although the conflict is still ongoing, the United Nations has done a report on how long it will take to rebuild Gaza.

According to the UN, if 100 trucks were to operate throughout the day, it would take 15 years to move the piles of rubble from the buildings destroyed by the Israeli army. The process of cleaning 40 million tons of debris is also estimated to cost between $500-$600 million.

Then as much as $40 billion is needed to rebuild all the destroyed buildings and it will only be completed in 2040. So far as many as 137,297 buildings have been affected by the conflict with 25% of them completely destroyed. As a result, the infrastructure in Gaza is now at the same level as in 1980.
