Huawei is seen starting to expand its Nova series offering with a clamshell phone. A short video said to be for the device has also been uploaded on Weibo with a drastic change to the now larger secondary screen. This means that the device can be used practically without the need to open the home screen frequently.
The device is also paired with two round camera bumps whose configuration is not revealed. Hinges are also used to allow the device to be closed tightly without a large space between the screens. A side fingerprint scanner and audio volume buttons are also included on the side of the device. There is no more detailed information about the internal hardware but initial expectations found that the selling price of the device will potentially be more expensive than the existing Nova device.
The clamshell phone 'war' looks like it could happen again this year with more manufacturers taking part. This includes Xiaomi which has just launched the MIX Flip and Honor through the Magic V Flip.
