Western Digital, the leading digital storage maker, has recently been reported to have added a new storage option to their WD Black SN850X PCIe 4.0 SSD series.
The SSD storage is now seen with an 8TB storage option, which is their largest consumer class SSD storage to date. Previously, the SSD came in 1TB, 2TB and 4TB options, and could be used in the construction of desktop computers, laptops and also game consoles such as Sony PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and Series S.
Just like the previous offering, this WD Black SN850X 8TB comes with the option to buy one with or without a cooling block, and comes with similar data reading and writing speeds of 7200MB/s and 6600MB/s.
For now, this 8TB storage option is only offered in selected markets at a price of $849 and $899 for the model without and with , and for now, it is not known when or if Western Digital Malaysia will offer this storage option for the local market.
