When you connect an Android device or any other device that has memory to a Windows 11 device, File Explorer will show the device as external storage. File Explorer will also only display devices if there is a wired connection. A new feature that Microsoft is testing in Windows 11 Insiders will allow users to wirelessly access Android devices on Windows devices.
Of course the Android device needs to be connected with Phone Link. After completion, File Explorer will display the device name and allow users to easily access the files in the Android device. Users can also manage the device and refresh the storage so that any changes made can display the latest status. To use it you need;
Android 11 and above devices.
Running the Link to Windows beta application version 1.24071 or above.
Your Windows 11 device is enrolled in any of the 4 Insider Channels programs.
