YouTube Shorts Introduces Six New Features Like TikTok-like Automatic Subtitles

YouTube is updating Shorts with six new features that it hopes will bridge the gap in features already offered on TikTok. The first feature introduced is automatically generating a series of words for videos. With this the deaf or those who watch videos without audio can still follow the content. Some subtitle designs can also be selected by the content producer before the Shorts are published.

There's also a new feature that generates background audio based on typed text. Again this is a feature that has been around for a long time on TikTok. Next is the Auto Layout feature that makes it easy to convert long videos into Shorts. Auto Layout will intelligently select the screen ratio and zoom based on the selected content.

The new sticker Add yours encourages viewers to interact with the Shorts that have been produced. Through this feature Remixes can be produced by simply pressing the stickers used. For filter users, two new filters based on Minecraft were introduced in conjunction with the game's 15th anniversary.

Finally the Remix feature now allows Shorts videos to be produced using Remix di Remix multiple times to create a continuous chain of videos. These six new features will be rolling out to all Shorts users in the near future.
