AMD Introduces the Ryzen 5000XT Series of Processing Chips

AMD is expected to launch their AMD Ryzen 9000 series of processing chips soon, but for those who are still using AM4 motherboards, and just want to upgrade their processing chips, AMD has recently introduced the AMD Ryzen 5000XT series of processing chips.

This processing chip comes with two models, namely AMD Ryzen 9 5900XT and AMD Ryzen 7 5800XT. Yes, it still uses ZEN 3 technology, but comes with faster CPU speeds.

For the Ryzen 9 5900XT model, it comes with 16 cores and 32 power threads with a Boost Clock as high as 4.8GHz, which is 8 more power threads than the AMD Ryzen 9 5900X launched a few years ago.

For the Ryzen 7 5800XT model, it comes with 8 cores and 16 power threads along with a Boost Clock speed as high as 4.5GHz, 400MHz higher than the AMD Ryzen 7 5800X. Both of these CPUs also come with a TDP of 105W, just like the previous models as well.

Both of these motherboards also support previous AM4 series motherboards, so these old motherboards can be used without any problems.

AMD says that these two CPUs are already on sale in select markets at a price of $349 for the AMD Ryzen 9 5900XT and $249 for the AMD Ryzen 7 5800XT model.
