Apple Deletes Another Advertisement Because It Hurts the Feelings of Thai People

Earlier this year Apple removed ads for the iPad Pro due to claims it insulted creative people who use physical devices. Apple immediately apologized and said it was not their intention to offend creative people. Today they once again had to delete a new ad that was published for allegedly displaying a negative image of Thailand.

The nearly 10-minute long ad titled The Underdogs: OOO (Out Of Office) is a continuation of four previously published ads that show how Apple products can be used for productivity purposes. Filming was done in Thailand using local talent.

But Thai netizens say scenes in airports, public transport and hotels give a stereotypical image of their country looking backward. Before being pulled, this ad had been viewed over 9 million times on YouTube.
