AppleCare+ Customers Can Extend the Expiration Period 45 Days After the Original Expiration Date

One piece of good news for all loyal Apple users is that there is finally an Apple Store in Malaysia. This means, users will be eligible to receive professional assistance from Genius representatives. In addition to being able to receive various special services compared to countries that do not have an Apple Store. Most recently, Apple has announced that AppleCare+ customers can now extend the warranty after 45 days of the original claim date.

Too bad, just for this it is not offered to users of Apple products in Malaysia. For now it is only limited to users in Australia, Austria, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, and the United States. This plan applies to monthly and annual AppleCare+ iPhone/iPad/Apple Watch and annual AppleCare+ plans for Mac.

Apple gives the option of extending up to 24 months or 36 months with full payment or installments. In China, Apple gives customers the opportunity to extend either 12 months, 24 months or 36 months with an annual payment. It can also only be extended within 30 days after the original expiry date.

There is no additional information for the AppleCare+ extension plan in Malaysia so far. This is probably because the Apple Store is still new, then before the existence of the Apple Store – most authorized dealers have sold their own insurance and additional warranty plans. Let's all look forward to more information about AppleCare+.
