Intel has confirmed that an update to the microcode plaguing 13th and 14th generation Intel motherboards and processor chips causing a variety of problems on those platforms will be released this month.
It seems that two computer component manufacturers, namely ASUS and MSI have confirmed that they have already introduced updates for the microcode through their websites. This microcode update is version 0x129 and can be downloaded for certain motherboards as indicated on their respective websites.
What can be seen at the moment is that this microcode update is in beta phase, and can only be used on Intel Z790 series motherboards. This is probably because this microcode issue is seen to have a greater impact on computers powered by Intel Core i9 and Intel Core i7 K-series processor chips that can be overclocked. And for Intel, only the Z790 motherboard can overclock the processing chips in this series.
Although this microcode is still in beta phase, it has been tested by their own side, and found to be safe to use to update 13th and 14th generation Intel motherboards and processor chips.
In the meantime, it should also be noted that this update will only be effective for CPUs that have not yet experienced over-volting issues that cause problems for the CPU. For computers already affected by the issue, you will need to replace the CPU components before installing this update.
