BYD, one of the giant electric car companies from China, has now announced a strategic collaboration with Huawei, in using Huawei's autonomous driving system technology or self-driving technology in their vehicles.
The first model to use Huawei's self-driving technology is the Fangchengbao Bao 8 SUV, and this vehicle is expected to go on sale later this year.
The use of Huawei technology further accelerates the offering of the latest technology on BYD vehicles, allowing them to compete in the arena more competitively than other competitors.
Huawei itself is ready to invest heavily in the development of systems for automotive. Previously, Audi had also stated that they would use Huawei technology on their vehicles in China. Huawei is also said to be one of the main ADAS suppliers in the market today.
