Testing applications in the cloud is not a new feature. It is an Android Device Streaming program for developers who can develop applications and test them in the cloud through an internal streaming service.
Previously Android Device Streaming was limited to Google Pixel and select Samsung devices. It has now been extended to Oppo and Xiaomi devices as well. This program was introduced for developers to test their applications without incurring the additional cost of purchasing a new device just for testing. Developers can also focus on Android Studio on the computer and not have to worry about any vulnerability to additional devices.
The service is free for developers until February 2025 and there is no information on what costs will come. Android Device Streaming is already built into Android Studio with Firebase-based technology.
