Bending Spoons, one of the firms behind applications such as Evernote, Meetup, Splice and Remini, has now announced it will take over the large file storage and transfer service, WeTransfer.
The takeover value is currently undisclosed. WeTransfer is widely used to send large files along with emails. It is said that the service has around 80 million active users every month.
Bending Spoons says they are ready to focus on and help the creative community, and this acquisition helps them create more value for the creative industry.
For now, it is not known what changes will be introduced at WeTransfer, and how this takeover will affect the company's workforce.
