Fmovies Piracy Streaming Platform Has Been Disabled



Fmovies, a piracy streaming platform was successfully disabled by the Alliance for Creativity and Entertainment (ACE) this week. ACE is a coalition of more than 50 members consisting of studios such as Amazon, Apple TV+, Netflix, Paramount Global, Sony Pictures, Universal Studios, The Walt Disney Studios, and Warner Bros. Discovery.



Apart from Fmovie, other piracy services under their management like bflixz, flixtorz, movies7, myflixer, aniwave as well as video hosting service Vidsrc.to were also successfully disabled. Two Vietnamese suspects who are believed to be the mastermind behind the operation have been arrested by the authorities in Hanoi.


According to ACE, Fmovie which has been operating since 2016 has been visited 6.7 billion times between January 2023 and June 2024. With 374 million monthly visitors, it is the largest piracy syndicate in the world causing huge losses to intellectual property owners.
