Circle to Search is one of the most useful AI features that my office colleagues and I use regularly. For now it is still limited to Pixel and Samsung devices, but will be gradually expanded to all devices later. This feature uses AI to simplify search with an interactive user-friendly interface. Coming soon, it will be integrated with a new AI feature specifically for Pixel users.
Android Authority discovered a new feature, where Circle to Search is integrated with Pixel Screenshot. Pixel Screenshot is a screenshot saving feature that can intelligently identify content. It allows users to copy text, save images in screenshots or also allows users to search for specific screenshots with search keywords such as "My flight booking details from Malaysia Airlines" for example.
Based on a demo by the source, after doing the Circle to Search action on a Pixel device – it instructs the user to use the Pixel Screenshot so that the search can be referenced again one day. Pixel Screenshot is available on the Play Store and while the APK can be sideloaded to other Android devices, its AI features are limited to Pixel 9 devices first.
