For the first time since the Google Pixel was launched eight years ago, this device has officially entered Malaysia. The three models brought in are the Google Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL each equipped with a Google Tensor G4 chip that can run the Gemini Nano AI model built into the device.
Pixel 9 is equipped with a 6.3″ Actual Display, 12GB RAM memory, up to 256GB storage and a 4700 mAh battery that supports 27W charging. The main camera consists of a 50MP wide-angle lens and a 48MP ultra-wide-angle lens. Meanwhile on the front it is equipped with a 10.5MP camera.
Pixel 9 Pro and 9 Pro XL are equipped with 6.3″ and 6.8″ Actual Display, 16GB RAM memory, up to 1TB storage and a 4700/5060 mAh battery that supports 27W charging. The main camera consists of a 50M wide-angle lens, a 48MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 48MP telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom. Meanwhile on the front it is equipped with a 42MP camera.
The device comes with new features like Pixel Studio, Add me, Reimagine and access to Gemini Pro for free for a year for Pixel 9 Pro buyers. The emergency SMS feature using satellite is not currently supported in Malaysia. The operating system used is Android 14 with support for 7 Android versions and 7 years of security patches.
Pre-orders open for the Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro XL starting today, August 14, with them going on sale publicly starting August 22. Meanwhile, the Pixel 9 Pro will only start being offered starting at a date in September that has yet to be determined.
