Google Translate Now Has Dual-Screen Mode For Folding Phones

One of my favorite features on foldable screen devices is the Interpreter which is limited to Samsung devices and requires the use of a special application in OneUI only. In the future, it may become more flexible as Google Translate starts to provide dual-screen mode support.

In the brand new Google Translate app, it has been updated with a Material You themed interface. Most interesting is that in addition to having the existing listening and typing mode, it now has a conversation mode and a dual-screen mode. Chat mode will split the inner screen into two parts, with the top part flipped over for face-to-face conversations. While dual-screen mode is like Interpreter on Samsung Galaxy devices that use Galaxy AI, where the inner screen is English and the outer screen will display the translation.

For now, according to sources it is only supported on Pixel Fold, Pixel 9 Pro Fold, Galaxy Z Fold and also in my tests it is also supported on Galaxy Z Flip6. Google Translate also supports offline use with certain languages can be downloaded, to try downloading Google Translate on the Play Store via the link below.
