When going on a trip or a picnic, the issue of power supply for the devices carried is solved by carrying a powerbank. But when the powerbank runs out of power, what can be done? EcoFlow, a company that manufactures portable high power packs, has now launched a hat with solar panels that solves this issue.
With a solar panel on the surface, the EcoFlow Power Hat can charge a 4000 mAh battery in 3-4 hours depending on the strength of the sun's rays with a maximum output of 12W. There are built-in USB-C and USB-A charging ports and the total weight of the Power Hat is around 370 grams.
When not in use it can be folded and stored in a bag without damaging the built-in solar panel. It also passes the IP65 standard which makes it usable even in the rain. The EcoFlow Power Hat is on sale for $129 (~RM572) apiece starting September with two sizes offered.
