If anyone thinks that the previous Huawei MatePad Pro 13.2″ tablet is quite large in size. Now Huawei comes with a smaller offering through the introduction of the MatePad Pro 12.2″ announced in China. Various interesting features and functions can be found which include AI based features for better experience.
It also uses a 12.2-inch OLED Dual Layer technology screen for better brightness. Huawei claims the screen can last three times longer than OLED displays and should be able to reduce power consumption by 33% better. Interestingly, the screen also supports a 144Hz refresh rate which should provide a smooth scrolling experience.
There are no details on the processing chip but that is not surprising. The tablet however offers memory options of up to 12GB RAM, 512GB internal storage and HarmonyOS 4.2 launcher complete with new AI-based features. Among them, such as Celia Document Assistant which helps to simplify the summary of PDF files, AI Writing Tool can extend a text automatically in WPS Words and AI Tools For Notes now supports handwriting typefaces for more creative note writing.
Then it also became another Huawei tablet with stylus support. Complementing the tablet is a 13MP + 8MP main camera, a 16MP front camera with Smart Sensing Camera capability and a 10,100 mAh battery. In China the MatePad Pro 12.2 is sold at a starting price of CNY 4,299 (~RM2,688) with no details on availability in Malaysia for now.
