Instagram Will Ban Screenshots of 'View Once' Messages

Instagram was recently reported to be experimenting with another new privacy feature with the aim of preventing users from taking screenshots of messages sent with the 'view once' setting. This feature can indirectly improve user privacy by preventing unauthorized sharing of private messages.

The feature being explored by Instagram to prevent screenshots on 'view once' messages is in line with the trend of the social media industry towards enhanced privacy controls. In fact, other social media platforms such as Telegram have long offered this kind of feature. This matter was shared by Alessandro Paluzzi, a social media researcher through the X site.

However, the reception of Instagram users if this feature is launched later may invite various reactions. Some users may appreciate it and others may find features like this inconvenient and restrict freedom. However, there is still no official date when it will be offered and it is interesting for all of us to wait for this feature to be launched to all users later.
