Intel Innovation Event Postponed To 2025 Due To Issues That Beset The Company

Intel has postponed their Intel Innovation event that was supposed to take place this September 24-25 in San Jose, California to 2025. The new date has not yet been announced. The postponement comes in the wake of various setbacks that have plagued the company in recent months.

The biggest issue is the high voltage problem causing permanent damage to Intel Core Gen-13 and Gen-14 chips. It forced Intel to provide a 5-year warranty instead of the usual 3 years. The company has also just cut 15,000 workers as a cost-cutting measure.

In an official statement provided, Intel said "looking at the financial results and the outlook for the second half of 2024, which was more difficult than previously expected, we will have to make some difficult decisions as we continue to align our cost structure and look to evaluate how we rebuild sustainable process technology leadership engine. We express our sincere appreciation to our partners, sponsors, exhibitors, developer community and our larger team who have committed to supporting and attending this event.”
