Intel Xeon W-3500 Launched – Server Machine CPU With 60 Cores, 385W TDP

Intel showed off their Sapphire Rapids (4th generation Intel Xeon) series of server machine processing chips in early 2023, and now, shortly after introducing the Granite Rapids and Sierra Forest series of processing chips, they seem to have updated their old processing chips with Sapphire Rapid Refresh.

Sapphire Rapids Refresh processing chips consist of two series, namely Intel Xeon W-2500 and Intel Xeon W-3500 which come with an offer of 26 to 60 physical cores and consume as much as 385W TDP.

The Intel Xeon W-2500 processor chip series is seen to be present with a number of cores from 26, 22, 18, 14, 12, 10 and 8 cores and supports DDR5-4800 and 4400 memory depending on the model, up to a total of 2TB.

The Intel Xeon W-3500 series of processing chips comes with a number of cores from 60, 44, 32, 28, 24, 20 and 16. Just like the Intel Xeon W-2500, this series of processing chips also comes with support for DDR5-4800 memory. with a total memory of 4TB.

In the meantime, Intel also confirmed that these Sapphire Rapids Refresh processing chips will also support the Intel W790 motherboard that was introduced for the previous Intel Sapphire Rapids processing chip series.

Intel says that these processing chips are used for the purpose of processing large data, storing media that will be used for streaming purposes, processing 3D graphics on a large scale and so on.

These processing chips can already be purchased by corporate companies at prices starting from $609 for the Intel Xeon W3-2525 CPU up to $5889 for the Intel Xeon W9-3595 model
