The JBL Tour Pro 3 was announced today as another model that comes with a charging pod that has a touch LCD screen on the side of the charging/storage pod. It offers a 1.57″ screen that is 30% larger than the Tour Pro 2.
What's more interesting is that this charging pod also has the feature of emitting audio using bluetooth and Auracast. It can be connected to audio devices using the included 3.5mm to USB-C adapter cable. With this, audio systems that do not have bluetooth and in-flight entertainment systems can be used with the Tour Pro 3 wirelessly.
Each ear bud is equipped with two audio drivers, one 102.mm and the other 5.1mm. Spatial audio via head tracking is also supported as well as the LDAC codec. With a screen on the side of the charging pod, the music being played can be controlled directly from it. Accessing the EQ mode is also possible without the user having to change it through the smartphone app.
On a single charge the Tour Pro 3 can operate for 11 hours without ANC and down to 8 hours with ANC activated. Each JBL Tour Pro 3 is sold for $300 (~RM1314).
