If you are a professional photographer or have a photography hobby, Lexar is a brand of storage that is certainly no longer unfamiliar to you. Moving slightly away from cameras, the company has introduced two new products via the crowdfunding site Kickstarter.
The product is the Lexar Professional Go Portable SSD with Hub, which is an SSD storage that can be connected directly to your smart device, and can be used as storage for video recording on Android devices or Apple iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max.
According to Lexar, this SSD comes with a storage option of up to 2TB and comes with a USB 3.2 gen 2 Type-C connection, which supports Apple Pro Res 4K 60FPS recording. With this connection, the transmission from the storage to the computer is also seen to be very fast, where it comes with a data reading and writing rate of around 1000MB/s.
Not only that, this SSD also comes with support for a USB hub that allows users to load additional accessories such as microphones, lights and even charge smart devices if they need charging. As an added support, this SSD and hub also come with IP65 dust and water proof certification and AES 256-bit encryption system.
For this initial period, the Lexar Professional Go Portable SSD comes with a price tag of $129 with 1TB of storage, while the SSD together with the hub is offered at a price of $159. The 2TB model is offered at a price of $209, while the price with a hub is set at $239.
