According to the latest Bloomberg report, Apple seems to be making some big changes to the iPhone production for this year, where the two main high specification models, the iPhone 16 Pro and the iPhone 16 Pro Max, will be produced in India.
This will mark the first time an Indian production facility is used for their flagship device. Previously, Apple was ready to produce low-spec iPhones and even older models at a production plant based in India.
It is expected that Apple will still use models produced in China during the initial launch, and will then switch to models produced in India after that. The iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max models manufactured in India will be marketed not only in India, but also globally.
Apple is expected to introduce this new generation iPhone in September 2024, which is next month.
