Mediatek continues to offer new mid-range chips with the introduction of the Helio G100. It is built based on TSMC's 4nm technology with a configuration of two Arm Cortex-A76 cores (2.2GHz) and six Arm Cortex-A55 cores (2.0GHz). It also uses an Arm Mali-G57 MC21 GPU paired with LPDDR4X memory and UFS 2.2 storage which is believed to be able to provide optimal performance for games, applications and daily tasks.
The situation is further improved with the support of the latest HyperEngine technology which also helps extend the battery life of a device. Meanwhile, it should be mentioned that it also only offers a 4G network which gives the impression that there is still room for such devices in the 5G era.
There is also an Elevator Mode function supported for a smooth and stable connection. In addition to supporting Full HD display at a refresh rate of 120Hz with MediaTek Intelligent Display Sync Technology that helps improve power efficiency up to 20% better. Not to be left out, the chip also supports camera systems up to 200MP and maximum video recording of 2K/30fps.
The first device to use it is the Tecno Camon 30S Pro which was just launched a few days ago.
