Meta Begins Testing Ad Display On Threads – Not Coming Any Time Soon

Threads is X's competitor that uses an Instagram account and also supports the Fediverse platform. Day by day, the use of Threads became more and more popular with my timeline starting to display many shares from Malaysian users. Threads is also interesting to use because it is ad-free, but this will change soon.

Freelance developer Alessandro Paluzzi has shared on X that Threads is starting to test ad display support. Not only that, Meta has also recently added analytics features, creating drafts and scheduling shares which many say is a setup for content creators to monitor their own content for ad performance.

Ad display support on Threads is not a surprise, as Mark Zukeberg himself once confirmed that only after Threads has more than 1 billion users will these ads be considered. The head of Instagram, Adam Mosseri has also said that generating income with ads on Threads is something that has been planned to ensure that Threads can remain operational - only that these ads will not arrive in the near future.
