Meta today finally ended access to the CrowdTangle service, which is one of the applications provided to analyze various data involving public sharing on Facebook and Instagram. Effective today, the CrowdTangle service is terminated, and will no longer be accessible to anyone.
Alternatively, for researchers or those in the academic arena, can refer to the Meta Content Library which is said to offer more or less the same features.
Previously, through CrowdTangle it has helped various parties, including researchers, those in the academic field, those in the media field and so on in doing analysis, comparison and so on involving the distribution of content on Facebook and Instagram. In the absence of this access, perhaps we will see that it is more difficult to get accurate data related to the distribution and various other data involving the Meta platform in the future.
