AndesGPT is Oppo's generative AI model used on Oppo's own devices, OnePlus and even realme. The existing AI features are just as basic as the magic eraser in contrast to competing offerings like Galaxy AI. Recently, OnePlus has developed AI features by introducing AI Speak and AI Summary to read articles/texts and summarize content such as websites or emails.
The introduction of these two features made many loyal OnePlus users angry. This is because OnePlus only gives this feature to two devices, the OnePlus Nord 4 or the OnePlus Nord CE4 Lite 5G. Flagship devices like the OnePlus 12, OnePlus 12R and others are yet to receive it. Not only that, it is also only accessible in certain countries such as India, Asia-Pacific, Europe, Middle East, Africa, South Asia, Russia, and Latin America.
I expect, OnePlus might want to test these two new AI features on two mid-range devices to see its capabilities, performance and gather feedback before offering it to flagship devices. After this it will probably be distributed to all users. Let's wait together.
