Usually technology companies will make various investments to expand their product offering. There are also those who continue to take over a company in the hope of defeating competitors. Most recently, OpenAI is reported to have invested more than RM267,977,011 into a webcam company.

This RM267,977,011 or $60 million was invested in Opal which is a company that manufactures premium web cameras with a guarantee of mirrorless camera quality.
