This week the Tecno Phantom Ultimate 2 was shown with a tri-fold screen design. The design of the unnamed device was revealed by Zhou Yibao, Find product manager at Oppo via Weibo. Like the Phantom Ultimate 2, the device will use a Z-shaped folding design with thin bezels. The interface has an application tray that extends across the bottom of the screen. But only the screen is revealed but the camera system for example is not shown.
Although sales of foldable screen devices are still low when compared to devices with conventional designs. It does not prevent device manufacturers from offering increasingly complex designs. Almost four years ago, the Oppo X 2021 was shown with a rollable screen. It is until today just a concept. Whether Oppo will launch this tri-fold device is still a mystery.
