Pico 4 Ultra Launches With Snapdragon XR2 Gen 2 Chip



Pico 4 Ultra was officially launched in China yesterday, putting it in a position to compete with Meta Quest 3. The compact design is still used with a weight of 304 grams. Two controls are also included with them being smaller and without coils for a more comfortable grip. It also has responsive tracking and haptic systems through built-in HyperSense linear motor support.



It is also more powerful through the use of the Snapdragon XR2 Gen 2 chip, 12GB LPDDR5 RAM memory and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. Improvements are also given to the larger battery capacity of 5700mAh which also supports 45W charging. There is also spatial audio support, a stereo speaker system and four microphones included.



In addition, the screen used is 2.56″ with each offering a resolution of 2160 × 2160 pixels and a refresh rate of 90Hz. The lens system is a type of pancake with a horizontal viewing angle of 105 degrees. At the same time has a pair of 32MP cameras that can also be used to record 3D videos at a resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels 60FPS.



Pico 4 Ultra also uses an operating system based on Android, in addition to being able to connect with other devices such as smartphones and desktops simultaneously, for example through the Poco Connect application. Pico 4 Ultra is also compatible with Wifi 7 connection with speeds that can reach 3.0Gbps and latency of about 5 milliseconds. The Pico 4 Ultra is sold in China at CNY 4299 (~RM2,636) with no global availability details known at this time.
