Not more than two months after the introduction of the Proton eMas EV brand, today Proton has introduced their first EV to be brought in, the e.MAS7.
This Proton e.MAS7 is the first unit to use the Global Modular Architecture (GMA) frame for the first phase developed through the collaboration of Proton and Geely, and also uses the Aegis Short Blade Battery technology which has more energy density, and has a durability of up to 3500 cycles . The electric motor only weighs 82.5kg with an energy efficiency of 90.04%
Proton e.MAS7 is a model based on Geely Galaxy E5 which is in the compact SUV class. It is equipped with a 160 kW electric motor with a power of 218 PS that can accelerate from 0-100km/h in 6.8 seconds with a maximum speed of 175 kmh. The two battery options offered are 49.52 kW and 60.22kW providing a travel distance of 440 km and 530 km according to CLTC standards.
Apart from that, there are 29 locations throughout Malaysia that will sell and provide service for the Proton e.MAS. In fact, they are also developing an e.MAS application that is seen to match the functionality of the Hello Smart application that offers application integration as well as EV.
At the moment there is no information regarding the price nor the choice of color and also the choice of specifications. In fact, the Proton e.MAS7 on display appears to be present with a camouflage pattern which is certainly not the final pattern. Let's all look forward to the next announcement from Proton later.
