The Razer Kraken V4 and Razer Kraken V4 X headphones launched this morning specifically for video game enthusiasts who want premium audio performance. Both come with Razer TriForce Titanium 40 mm audio drivers and a microphone system that can be stowed away in the head cup when not in use. The microphone uses the same technology as used on previous Razer BlackShark headphones.
Connection to the device can be done using bluetooth, USB cable connection and also the Razer HyperSpeed Wireless wireless system. This allows it to be used on PC platforms, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, Steam Deck, and mobile devices.
In addition the headphones also support 7.1 surround sound with THX Spatial. For fans of the lighting system, the Razer Kraken V4 also comes with a Razer Chroma RGB lighting system with 9 lighting zones. The battery can last up to 70 hours without RGB lighting or 35 hours with RGB lighting activated. Control buttons provided are adjust audio, mute audio, change tether and scan audio.
Next is the Razer Kraken V4 X which is a more affordable model but still equipped with Razer TriForce Titanium 40 mm audio drivers, Razer HyperClear Cardioid microphone, 7.1 audio and lighting system
RGB. This model only supports connection using USB-C or USB-A via an adapter. The lighting system is also only on the part of the open logo on the entire side of the Kraken V4. The physical button is to adjust the audio and mute the microphone.
At this point only the Razer V4 X will enter the Malaysian market in Q3 2024 at a price of RM479 per pair.
