About two years ago, Razer introduced their most premium video game controller, the Razer Wolverine V2 Pro for the Sony PlayStation 5 console as well as computers. Two years later, they introduced a newer model, the Razer Wolverine V3 Pro.
The most noticeable difference that can be seen on this latest controller model is that the Wolverine V3 Pro no longer has a touch pad on the previous model, and shows the design of the Xbox Series controller that seems to be more popular with gamers.
The face buttons on this control device also use a mechanical switch that promises faster activation, while the two kayurias use a Hall Effect switch that promises a long lifespan.
A new feature shown on the Wolverine V3 Pro controller is also the four trigger buttons on the back that use the optical switches that are typically found on mice. All of these buttons, including the sensitivity of the key can be adjusted through the Razer Synapse software.
The R2 and L2 trigger buttons can also be modified to come with a short or long physical activation depending on your play style.
This may not be a new feature for the Razer Wolverine V3 Pro series controller, but it comes with HyperSpeed Wireless connection support that supports data transmission rates as high as 8000Hz. Without it, wireless support is still there, but it's limited to a slower 850Hz.
The only drawback here is that the HyperSpeed Wireless adapter accessory needs to be purchased separately, and is not included with the Wolverine V3 Pro controller. If you don't need wireless support on your controller, Razer also introduced the Razer Wolverine V3 Tournament Edition with USB wired connectivity at a more affordable price.
Razer Malaysia says that the Razer Wolverine V3 Pro and Razer Wolverine V3 Tournament Edition are already on sale in computer accessory stores at a price of RM1029 for the V3 Pro model and RM519 for the V3 Tournament Edition model.
