Realme already has its own fast charging technology which is expected to be better in the future. Even faster, it can drive quality or more interesting innovation later. Realme also shared plans to announce new charging technology soon.
A special event will be held in China on August 14, 2024 to announce more details about the fast charging technology. It is expected to be one of the fastest in the world but Realme is taking the approach of keeping the output power secret from the public. That is more of a surprise that will be revealed in the official launch event.
Some have linked it to the 300W fast charging technology that could potentially be used on Realme's upcoming devices. Especially for devices in the GT series because we have seen the same patent done by Realme before when announcing the 240W fast charging technology. In the meantime, Xiaomi has also showcased its own 300W charging technology before but it has not been commercialized yet.
The introduction also aims to set a new benchmark in smartphone fast charging technology. Then it symbolizes Realme's commitment to provide interesting technology for users. Apart from fast charging, there will also be new technologies with a focus on AI, performance and imaging systems to be announced together.
