Samsung has recently introduced a new LPDDR5X memory that comes with a nail-thin design, but comes with the same fast memory capacity and speed as before.
This latest thin memory offering comes with 12GB and 16GB capacities manufactured using the 12nm process, having a stack of four memory chips with an overall thickness of only 0.65mm.
This new memory can be used for thinner devices, including for smart devices, thin and light laptops, and even SoC processing chips that want even smaller designs.
The new Samsung LPDDR5X memory will be sampled to smartphone makers soon to test the new designs of their devices.
With the announcement of this thin LPDDR5X memory, Samsung also confirmed that they will also show the development of memory with a higher capacity such as 24GB and above in the future.
