Tech development kits are nothing new. Many leading technology companies such as Apple, Sony, Qualcomm and so on have introduced the concept of this small PC which can be used to develop new technologies for certain platforms.
Recently, Simply NUC, one of the companies that are still developing NUC (Next Unit of Computing) compact computers has introduced their own AI technology development kit powered by Intel Meteor Lake processing chips and named Revel Canyon.
This development kit uses the well-known NUC dwarf PC frame, and is powered by an Intel Core Ultra 7 155H processing chip, along with 32GB of LPDDR5X memory and 512GB of PCIe 4.0 SSD storage.
In terms of plug offerings, this PC comes with two Thunderbolt 4 plugs, one USB 3.2 Type-C plug, three USB 3.2 Type-A plugs, one USB 2.0 Type-A plug and two HDMI 2.0 plugs that support a display resolution of 7680 × 4320 pixels.
The Revel Canyon PC was developed based on the specifications set by Intel through their Intel AI Developer Program, and this PC comes with a price tag of around £949.00. According to Simply NUC, if you are a developer under this program, you are also eligible to get a considerable discount for an AI developer kit.
