SoftBank has now reportedly canceled plans to collaborate with Intel in the development of chips focused on artificial intelligence, while competing with NVIDIA's offerings. It is said that SoftBank canceled the plan after Intel found it difficult to meet the various conditions and requirements set by SoftBank.
SoftBank, which already has a stake in ARM, blamed Intel, saying Intel had failed to meet the speed and production capability levels for the chip. Intel itself has recently been seen to face several challenges, including having started selling its stake in Arm in raising financial funds for the company, in addition to shedding a number of employees at the company.
SoftBank is now reportedly in talks with TSMC in chip development for this artificial intelligence arena.
