Ever since the Sonos Ace launched, they have been heavily criticized. Not because their new set of headphones are expensive or support limited codecs, but because the new app launched is not perfect, many features and functions are thrown out for no reason and is full of bugs. Most recently, The Verge reported that the old Sonos app might be relaunched.
Their new application is very bad because Patrick Spence as the CEO of Sonos wants this application to be developed from scratch and not update the existing application. But because many loyal users expressed their frustration with many features not being usable, while the new app is being improved Sonos is considering bringing back the old app. This awful new app carries a 1.3 star rating on the Google Play Store and has delayed the launch of the new Sonos soundbar.
