Telegram : "It Doesn't Make Sense For The Platform Or The Owner To Be Responsible For Misusing The Platform"

Telegram now through the X platform has issued an official comment, following the arrest of Telegram's CEO by the authorities in France. According to Telegram, the platform complies with various European Union legislation, including the Digital Services Act as set by industry standards, and continues to improve day by day.

At the same time, Telegram stated that it does not make sense to say that the platform or the owner is responsible for the misuse of the platform.

Telegram today is used by almost a billion users to interact. However, one of the things that is often criticized about the platform is the various crimes – including the distribution of illegal content, being used to commit crimes, and so on. It can also often be said that one of the pitfalls of spam makes many vulnerable to fraudulent crimes. This lack of supervision is not liked by various countries, including Malaysia itself which has criticized Telegram several times before regarding pornographic content and others.

It is quite surprising when Telegram says that the platform is not responsible for the misuse of the platform, considering that many people think that a platform is responsible for managing security and continuity through the platform.

With this new development, let's all look forward to what action the French authorities will take against Telegram's CEO, and how it will affect the messaging platform.
